I am trying to find record of my great great grandfather, Bernt Hansen, and his brother, Magnus C. Hansen, in Norway. I don't know where in Norway they are from.

They emigrated from Norway to London, England and set sail on the S.S. Thames (1) of the Temperley Line out of London on July 19, 1865 and arrived in Quebec August 4th.

They both settled and farmed in Rolling Fork, Pope County, Minnesota.

I believe their father was Hans Borreson, but I don't know for sure.

I appreciate any help! Thank you.

Hi Eric,
I believe we are cousins. My Great grand father had two brothers, Bernt and Magnus, both from the Rolling Forks area.
did your Bernt have a wife named Mathia and a daughter Sorine Olava?

Hello Dick,

Yes, my Bernt Hansen had a wife named Mathia and a daughter named Serena O (that's how the census spelled it).

Who is your great grandfather?

Would you be willing to share information? Please feel free to e-mail me directly to ericandersenis@msn.com

Thank you for the reply!
