Mathias Karjenaho Abrahamson left Vadso Norway in 1865 to come to America.
He was originally from Finland - born 1835 in Pulkkila Finland - The first account of his travels - mentions Red Wing Minnesota - He could have come down the St. Lawrence - used a variety of possibilities for transportation - Maybe to Chicago via steamer and then
by RR to Mississippi river. Someone please help me once and for all solve this mystery - I will forever be grateful - Mathias worked at a hardware
store in Vadso for several years before leaving for America - Thank you - jams@ lakedalelink.net
