Is anyone else having an error appear whne trying to open up census' and parish records?

Patience, grasshopper. That free site does have to do maintainence sometime and occasionally have an occasional glitch in the system, they are adding huge databases all the time and they are probably on Christmas/New Years break right now. Just wait a few hours or a day and all will be well.
