Bror (also known as Harry) migrated to the U.K. sometime probably late 1890's as he enlisted in the volunteer units raised in Durban South Africa in 1899 in the British Army who fought in the Boer War. His military papers state that he was a "Naturalised British Citizen". He was born in Stockholm, Sweden in 1873.

Prior to Bror migrating in the late 1890's, he was listed as a seaman, and we were led to believe that he was involved in the whaling industry. I was wondering whether anyone could help with info in this regard.

Every little bit of info would be so much appreciated.

Would appreciate any information regarding his migration, ship etc.

Even though this forum mainly deals with emigration from Norway, it is amazing how much knowledge some of the members also have about researching Swedish sources. It is probably because many Norwegian-Americans also have some Swedish ancestors.

Good luck!
