I believe I have tracked my grandfather from Kristiansand to Southampton or Hull. He left Kristiansand on June 27, 1902 aboard the American Line, perhaps the SS Angelo. His name as listed when he departed Kristiansand was LARS ANDERSEN FORGAARD, born 1882 from Aaseral, bound for Illinois. I am stumped from here, where do I look for him next?

I don't know if you're looking for him before(!) or after(!) the emmigration?

If it's before, you find him, his parents and his siblings in the 1900 cencus here
