We are trying to find what ship Jacob and Anna Hanson sailed on from Hull, England to New York. From all that we have researched we believe they sailed on the May 14th, 1882 voyage of the SS/Germanic of the White Star line. Their ticket agent was Ferdinand Elster. How can we find the passenger list for that voyage? |

You can rent the microfilm at a local Family History Center, get a subscription to Ancestry.com or give more information, ie: ages, place of emigration, etc. to enable someone on this Forum to attempt to find them for you.
Were they Norwegian? Generally, in Norway Hanson would have been spelled Hansen and Jacob would be Jakob but for every situation there is an exception. |

Hi Wendy,
Can I ask where you got the info that they sailed on the Germanic at that time? I'm just curious, because I just look at a list of passengers for the Germanic in 1882 and didn't find a Jacob (Jakob) Hanson (Hansen). Do you have their birthdates and country they originated from? Granted, there could be mistakes on the list, because the originals were written very poorly. If I had ages or birthdates it would make it easier to identify them.
