I am looking for info on a passenger on
the Salmo circa 1904.Headed for Ellis Is.Where would I find a passenger log.
The last name is Gundersen,Gunderson, or
Stensmuren

Hi Craig If you are looking for the passenger lists leaving Norway, go to the Digitalarkivet http://digitalarkivet.uib.no/index-eng.htm under other sources, Emigrants, Registers, you can search the lists. If you are trying to find him/her in Ellis Island try using this site to search http://home.pacbell.net/spmorse/ellis/ellis.html The Salmo sailed to Hull England and they would have arrived on a different ship in America.

When you search in the Digitalarkivet, be sure to make a note of the "Linie" or "Agent" (if it is there) as that will lead you on to the transatlantic steamer.
