Jackie, Where can I get a copy of the of the Grand Forks County Heritage Book A History of Rural Grand Forks County(published in 1976 by the Grand Forks County Heritage Book Committee) you mentioned in the post?
The book is out of print, I believe. You could try to get a copy via Inter Library Loan at your public library or you can buy a photocopy of the particular pages (sometimes also via ILL or from a local genealogical society or such.)
Three young emigrants from Oldre/Vang traveling with a large group from Vang in 1870, nr 135 Knud Guttormsen Oldre age 15, nr 217 his sister Gjertrud age 17 and nr 279 brother Knud age 21 on ship Theresa seems to emigrate without the parents which was Guttorm Knudsen Oldre age 40 in 1865 and Dorte Nilsdatter age 33 in 1865. Guttorm was born to Knud Paulsen Oldre/Nordland. Knud´s father Paul Nordland was godfather to Anfind Guttormsen Oldre, see my posting of 20.12.2008 on 13.13 01 o´clock.
