My grandfather was 4 years old when he came with 6 other siblings and his widow mother on the Circassian in the either 1890-1892. Is there a picture of this ship reaching Quebec port? I would appreciate that. Thanks.

Please pass on the message of thanks to Mr. Jan Wiborg for finding this picture for me. It is much appreciated. Gives me an idea of how they travelled across the pond. I am currently reading some books on my heritage/immigrants travel during these times.

There is information on Norway Heritage about the Circassian, the Allan line and arrival dates, etc.

If they were Norwegian, you should be able to find them in the Police Protocols on Digitalarkivet. Once you know exactly when they left you could search for them in the online Canadian passenger lists.

My dad's grandparents came from a mennonite colony in Prussia-travelled ttrough Europe and then on boat to Canada either landing at Quebec or Monteral. My Aunt his sister says Monteral(others said Quebec port. No they were not Norwegian. I will check the Monteral dates of the year 1892. Thanks for the info.
