Help please...I am looking to see if someone may have access to the passenger list as follows:

ss/illinois left liverpool and arrived in philidelphia 3/24/1885

I am looking to see if jorgen anderson (may have also used the last name bentrud or sorum ) was on that ship. He would have been about 19 or 20 and from i think honefoss/ringerike, not sure on the location in norway.

If i can confirm this is the right ship he was on how do i get my hands on the passenger list record.

I found a list on Ancestry.com of a Jergen Anderson from Sweden, b abt 1865 arriving in Philadelphia on 25 Mar 1885 from Liverpool on the Illinois....could this be the same man?

I am not sure. I will have to check the records more closely. If this was correct, how do I find a copy of the passenger list? Thanks for helping Tami don

Could this be your Jørgen ?
Dep. port Oslo March 6. 1885. Age 20. Place of living, Hole/Ringerike. Hønefoss is a nearby town to Hole. Dest. Mennomonee.
