I have a brief form dated 1869 that shows my ancestor's name, date of birth and date the form was signed among several Norwegian words I cannot translate. At the bottom of the form I see the word "militare." This has led me to conjecture that it might be a draft registration form completed by my ancestor when he was 21-22 years old. Does anyone know about the conscription registration process for that period? Could anyone translate the form fo me?
