Daniel with his family and his father on the "Thveit" farm in Nedstrand district of Rogaland, Norway -
1865 Thveit in Nedstrand

His father and grandparents appear in the 1801 census on farm called "Kleberg" -
1801 Kleberg in Hinneraae (Nedstrand)

The LDS library catalog and the online collection of scanned parish records at the Digitalarkivet website list that parish records for Nedstrand are available for years as far back as 1724.

I am not aware of any published Norwegian bygdebøker for the Nedstrand district.

Thanks so much, for this information. Karen Serine's brother Anders came to America
but did not stay long. He came back to Norway. His sister and niece Jacobina lost
contact after the invasion of Normandy. Still looking on information on Anders and any
possible living relatives.

Jakob Hendrick Brekstad was a captain of a ship when he died at sea on his vessel, I believe in 1883. We can't locate the name and a picture of his boat Any suggestions, anyone?.

Looking for any information about the ship that Jacob Henrik sailed on before his death in 1882. Also interested in finding any relatives of Jacob Henrik and or Daniel Sorensen.
