Searching for passenger Fredrik Melius Christiansen leaving, according to some sources, Larvik in 1888, traveling to Antwerp and on to Castle Gardens. Need some advice. Karen

How dependable are "some sources"? Have you checked the year of immigration as recorded in the US censuses of 1900, 1910, 1920, etc?

When and where was he born in Norway?

"Some sources" should be ok.

Musician Fredrik Milius Christiansen left Larvik on October 17th, 1888. Destination was San Francisco.

Fredrik M. is born 01 APR 1871, died 01 JUN 1955.

Christening record #35 here.

Well no wonder!!! Looking for first names that start with "Fre" didn't work and first names that contained "Mel" didn't work. Change the order of the names and spell them differently. Naturally. aaaaggghhhh
