Would have been much easier if some dates had been available, aside from that it is most likely that it comes from a farm name, could be
Skaalerud, Vang, Hedemarken - or
Skaalerud, Etnedalen, Oppland - or
Skaalerud, Nordre Land, Oppland.

The names correspond:

Leaseholder Mikael C (Christoffersen) and Anne Marie Olsdatter with 6 children on Kind Norde in Torpen sub parish in Nordre Land municipality 1865. Skolrood coud also be Skjellerud or Skaalerud in Nordre land

The family lived at Kind (Kinn) at the time of emigration according to the passenger list, but it is very likely that the "skolrood" names comes from the Skċlerud farm 10 km further south.

Micael was born March 23 1816 and baptized March 31 in Gaarder church. His parents were Christopher Olsen and Kerstine Hanibalsdatter, Scholrud, see #34
Anne Maria was born April 10 1831 and baptized May 23 in Hoff church, her parents were Ole Pedersen and Kjerstine Knudsdatter, Bragelibakken, see #48
In 1865 Kjerstine Knudsdatter was a widow living with Anne Marias brother Kristian and his family, see here

Information from a copy I kept from the book from Land:

It was a large emigration from Land to USA, they called themselves Landinger. There were nine main Land settlements in USA:
Rock Prairie Wisc, Wiota Wisc, Richland Wisc, Trempeleau Co. Wisc, West Paint Creek Iowa, Bode Iowa, Zumbrota Minn, Norway Lake Minn and Hillsboro ND.
The first Land Church in Zumbrota was build 1871 and demolished 1913, the new church in Zumbrota was Land Lutheran Church.
In East Wiota L. Church cemetery a lot of Landinger are buried.

no, her mother was Kirstine Knudsdatter. In 1801 she is at Lomsdahlen
The first son of Ole Pedersen and Kjerstine (Kirstine) Knudsdatter was most likely Christian, born Dec 23 1818, see #9

This is good information about settlements of "Landinger" (Landings) but I'd like to add a bit more information about these locations in the US.

Rock Prairie, Rock County, Wisconsin
Wiota, Lafayette County, Wisconsin
Richland County, Wisconsin
West Paint Creek, Allamakee County, Iowa
Trempealeau County, Wisconsin
Bode, Humboldt County, Iowa
Zumbrota, Goodhue County, Minnesota
Norway Lake, Kandiyohi County, Minnesota
Hillsboro, Traill County, North Dakota

Kċre -- What is the full title of the "book from Land"?

Hi hopkins, and thank you for comlemented information.

Boka om land

The author, Kolsrud, started to write about 1915 and finished "Boka om Land" 1948 so he or one of his assistents knew a lot of the 1. generation Landinger he interveiwed in USA.

A new more complemented edition, 3 volumes, are published now, it looks like the title is the same Boka om Land

The picture show Dokka population centre and Ĝstsinni parish, Skaalerud should be just outside in the right side of the photo, see Jan Peters map.

Thank you Kċre for that clarification.
The first 5 volumes of the Boka om Land are available on LDS microfiche (always a good thing for those of us here in the US). I've looked at them but must admit that I haven't been able to make much use of them. Since I only seem to have one direct family link into Land I'll also admit that I haven't devoted a great deal of time to the effort -- yet? Maybe sometime soon.
