On my grandfather birth certificate. His name Norway as his place of birth,all l know is that his name was john Pearson in Australia and he was born in 1836. I know l have little to go by and on his Marriage Certificate his puts parents unknown place of birth Norway.

Oh, that one is a hard one
Do you have anything else, like what year he emigrated, or the names of any other family members in Norway?
