I appreciate all that you have done to help. I understand that everyone has other responsibilities.

My source for Knud's birthdate came from an article that was written in the History of Renville County (MN). And there was also a article that was sent to me taken from from "Telemark to America" a publication of Telelag of America. It doesn't have his birthdate in that article but talks about Knut Osmundson Tveitekkja that married Gunnhild (dtr of Oistein Aasmundson from Hoydalsmo.

I just received the birth records this week and have only been able to look at them once but as far as the dates, anything is possible. If that made Aslak the oldest, then we could be looking for Osmund Aslaksen?? I will definitely keep a close watch on the dates.
I have also been in contact with a couple of greatgrand daughters of Knut's and I'll check with them to see if they know his birthdate. I never questioned the information that was given. It would be so easy to switch a couple of numbers when re-writing.... Done it myself a few times.

Just wanted to let you know that going through the birth records, under confirmations, I found a Knute Flaaten born on the same day as the Knute I'm looking for and there was an Ingeborg Flaaten born in 1821, same parents. From what I could make out, looks like the father is Osmund Knutesen and the mother was Hege Olsdatter. Going again tomorrow, hope the other film will have more information.
Think that Knute's birthday is actually 1824. All the information I have keeps a consistent age difference between the two.
