I still struggle from time to time with the translation of information and especially dates in the old church calendar. The burial date for Kjovald Knutson appears to be given for 1767in #6

Could someone please translate the line 6 for me, it appears to say 6 - Dom 17 p "unknown word" Kjovald Knutson Frigstad 44 aar.

I think if I could have figured out the "unknown word" I might have been able to get to the date.

If so then using the Dansk online calendar we see that in 1767 trinitas was June 14th . So I would go 17 Sunday's past June 14th to October 12. Thus his burial would be October 12, 1767.
If I am not correct feel free to point out my error.

Hi,
Trinit. is shortening for Trinitates, Latin for Whitsun.
17. Sunday after Whitsun.

12 October 1767 was a Monday wasn't it?
What is "Dansk online calendar"?

You are right Hopkins, Dominica is Sunday.
Dominica 17. after Trinit. 1767 was Sunday Oct. 11.

Trinitatis is not latin for Whitsun.

Trinity Sunday (or Trinitatis in Latin) is the 1st Sunday after Whitsun.

Trinitatis in 1767 was June 14, so Kċre is correct, 17 Sundays after June 14 is October 11. And Hopkins is correct Oct 12th is Monday. I am not sure how I misread the date but I did. Dansk kalender is from Ruth Madsen's web page Dansk kalender
