Thank you.

I've found her children via LDS records and am trying to find their birth records. Are the dates within the Lysningsprotokoll chronological (christening date)?

Ragnhild Josefine Jensen
Christening date: 22 Nov 1874
Christening place: Trefoldighet menighet, Oslo, Akershus, Norway
Birthdate: 18 Oct 1874

I stumbled upon a few 22/11/74 dates, but none that contained my Ragnhild. I tried to search via her birthdate as well.

Her second child, Carl Francis, was christened at Den Norske, Trefoldighet menighet, Oslo, Norway. Is this location the same as Trefoldighet menighet?

"Lysingsprotokoll" is NOT christening dates. You'd better look that word up again.

Is Trefoldighet menighet the same as Trefoldighet menighet? You are kidding, right?

Your tone is not appreciated. I was asking a simple question; not for sarcasm. For the record, my question was not what you've posed above. My question was:

Is Den Norske, Trefoldighet menighet the same as Trefoldighet menighet?

Ragnild Josefines baptismal record is #326 the baptism was in Trefoldighet menighet (Trinity Parish) in Kristiania (Oslo) - this is a Parish in Den Norske Kirke (The Norwegian State Church).
You can see the church at http://no.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trefoldighetskirken_(Oslo)
What was the christening date for Carl Francis?

Thank you, eibache.

Carl Francis was baptized on 22 Jun 1879. According to the 1900 Census, she had 2 other boys. Their birthdates would be interesting to know; will have to search for them today.

I've also been looking at Anne Mathea #140 -- I found an Anne Mathea whom married a Karl Henrick Schreiner -- This Anne Matea was born 26 Mar 1852 in Aker while my Anne Mathea was born 16 Mar 1852 in Aker. I've looked within the Aker Ministerialbok for a second Anne Mathea (baptized Mar-June) and could not find one. Is this connection a positive no or a maybe?

Martins sister Anne Matea (your reference #140) did mary Karl Henrik Schreiner, see #25 there it is said that she was born March 26 while the correct date was March 16. Anne Mathea was living in Kirkegaten 36 and Karl Henrik was a typographer born April 4 1851 in Kristiania and was living in Raadhusgaten 24, his father was Kristoffer Henningsen Schreiner.
(The Mathea Gulbrandsdatter who married Hans Jacob Jacobsen in 1872 was born in Aurskog in 1828 and is not the right one.)

On Olava Birgitte's marriage record #43, could you please translate/transcribe Simon's birthplace as well as the wording under Gulbrand's name in the "Forlovernes Navn og Opholdssted" column?

Also on Simon Nilsen's birth record #25, can you tell me when he was born? Baptized 21 Feb 1841, born when?

Olava Birgitte Gulbrandsdtr and Simen Nielsen married on 26 Jun 1870 at Grønland Parish, Oslo, Oslo, Norway.

Simon Nilsen was baptized 21 Feb 1841 in Eiker, Buskerud. After finding his birth record a second time, I read his dob as 31 Jan 1840.

Olava's family is in the 1875 and 1900 census. I've scanned the Oslo birth records, but have failed to find the childrens.

Gulbrand Olsen and Aksel Sundt was "forlovere".
Simon was born Dec 31 1840.
Oslo is a difficult and time consuming place to find records if you don't know exactly where to search.

Thanks!

Can you translate Gulbrand and Giertrud's marriage record? #8, 19 Nov 1782.

I've also been looking for Nils (or Niels) Olsen Hogsholen's birth record. I have the year 1754. His mother is Anne Nilsdatter, b. 1719 and Ole Knutsen Hogsholen (1715-1780)
