My GG grandmother Kaja Iversdatter came to the US sometime after her husband Jens Hansen died in 1893. I have seen her first name spelled Kaja, Kaya, and Kaia. I have also seen her last name as Iversen and Iversdatter. Her father's name was Iver Christiansen even though Kaja's death certificate(1909 Minnesota) stated Kaja's father's name was Iver Iversen. I have not been able to find when she left on the Digitalarkivet site's Emigration List. Can someone help me solve this mystery?

Do you know from where in Norway she came?

Kaja was originally from Fet,Askershus,Norway. Her husband died at Grini Mölle, Bærum, Norway in 1893. I do not know what she did between the time of the death of her husband and when she died in Minnesota other than she married after she came to the US to Mons Stundahl. She was 49 when her husband died so I do not expect to find any children resulting from this marriage. Her death certificate said she was a widow. I appreciate any help that you can provide.

Wonder if your information is correct. Are you sure?

This family, Johan ("Jens"?) og Kaya Hansen living in Bærum in the 1900 cencus - both born in Fet!, looks "suspicious" to me:

Thank you for trying but wrong family. Jens was not born in Fet and he died in 1893. The info that I posted mostly came from a letter to my uncle from my G Aunt and the birth place came from the Norwegian Census.
