I do have a subscription, so I e-mailed epauk on your behalf. Here is her e-mail in return.

I am related to Caroline Kramer through her mother Alvide Stade Kramer, so I haven't done much research on the Andersons. I don't have any current information on Leonard and Mildred Anderson. There was a Leonard W. Anderson who died in 1946 in Cook County, but the index doesn't give a birth date, so I wasn't sure enough to connect him to our Leonard. Try the Cook Co. indexes, if you haven't already. If I find any information, I'll let you know!

Thanks, Liz Pauk

It does not sound like she has any further information on your family. I would try and use the information you can obtain from California from the Death Certificate of Leonard J Anderson to see if you can find a younger familiy member with an address.

I have found Anderson at a message board at Ancestry. In 2001 she asked about the Andersons who left Norway and Notteroy. I hope she will respond because it is no doubt the right family. Thank you for all the help you have provided.

Good job, I searched for the reference after you alerted us to your find and I am also sure that you have the right family. Here is their address and phone number obtained from the White Pages. I see that a Leonard J is still alive.

I received a second message from epauk, It is as follows.

Anton

Have you been in touch with ancestry user billieianderson1 -- he is the child of Leonard Andersen. I wrote back and gave him your user name as a contact, in case you have not already made contact.

Hi Turid,
I was just working on researching this same family for a man who is descended from Grethe Marie Johannesdatter Anderson (from Nøtterøy, Skjerpe farm) and her daughter Augusta Helene Olsdatter Anderson. Augusta married a man named David Leth, they had a daughter name Gerta, and Gerta married a Swede in Chicago named Pearson.
His name is Ron Pearson, and he is planning a trip to Norway this year. I have also found a woman that is descended from this family who has done a lot of research for this family. She is a descendant and lives in Arizona. Email me (I tried to email you, but I haven't posted enough, so they wouldn't let me send you a private message.)
