My great great grandfather had a brother: Even Andersen Koljorde, born about 1804 in Slidre, Oppland, Norway. He still lived At the home farm in the 1865 census together with his mother Ambjorg [1779], his wife Berit Olsdtr [1815] and his two children Anders [1843] and Ambjorg [1850]. Even, Berit and the daughter Ambjørg emigrated March 25 1867 heading for America. I can not find any tracks of them after this, so what happend to them? Also the son Anders leaves no tracks after the 1865 census as far as I can see. Help would be nice.

You'll find them on the passenger list for Nordcap leaving Bergen April 24 and arriving Quebec June 9, see #84-86.

This is great. I always thought they went to the US, but Canada was the target. Interesting. Thank you! |

Hmmm.... ship 'Nordcap' or 'Kong Oscar' ???
Quebec was the most used destination for Norwegian emigrants in 1867, but it doesn't necessarily mean their final destination was Canada. From Quebec, they could very well have continued to Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan or Dakota, for example.
