I can't find any drop down menu to search by farm name in the 1875 Norwegian census. I thought I used to be able to do that.

I am searching for an Ole (born 1871) and brother Anton (born 1874) on the Gjerdet farm. I think, but have no evidence of this, that Gjerdet is a bruk of Grotaasen in Nordre Land.

I tried searching for Ole and Anton, but only came up with the Ronning farm, which somehow didn't seem quite right - and the birthdates weren't quite right either.

What am I doing wrong?

I find 93 farms named Gjerdet or Gjerde, none in Nordre Land.
More info on Ole and Anton would be helpful.

1875, Torpen sub parish in Nordre Land had two Gjerdet farms;

Gjerdet and Præsterudgjerdet, not easy to search in the 1875 census here.

If Gjerdet was a "bruk" sub farm under Grotaasen I do not know.

What was Ole and Anton fathers given name?

The 1875 Norwegian census has not been completely extracted to database form, it is incomplete.
On the Digitalarkivet and the NHDC websites Nordre Land is NOT among the areas that can be searched in the 1875.

The 1875 census for that district is available to us in the USA on microfilm at a LDS Family History Center.
