Guttorm Olsen, baptismal record 1st record in 1818.
His parents were Ole Eriksen under Hovland and Sigrid Guttormsdatter.

There are at least a couple persons who have posted as volunteers to do limited lookups in Norwegian books they own - appear to include Årdal in Sogn og Fjordane.

Here is a possible Sigrid, arriving on 23 June 1870 on Gazelle coming from Bergen to Quebec, 2nd from top:

Above Sigrid is Ragnhild Eriksd Hofland and on the very bottom of the previous page is Johannes Eriks Hofland.

Hello.
The easiest way is to fly from Trondheim to Sogndal Airport .
The distance from Sogndal Airport to Årdal is ca 30 Miles by car/bus.

most likely the one in question. Also and Erik Eriksen, Hofland arrived the same time - possibly her husband to be?
