I have an old post-card, probably sent about 1910 and written in a blend of Norwegian and English, and it says that the front of the card shows a picture of the saw-mill at Rora. On the back of the card, it also says that "grandmamma", "Bestemor", was killed there. Does anyone know of an accident in the saw-mill at Rora in the mid-to-late 1800s that resulted in the death of a woman there?

If you searched out a name for "grandmamma", "Bestemor" you could look through the parish death records (in the church records) to get a date. That would probably make your search for information much much more productive.
