For anyone researching family in the midwest, the following link is for a book that can be downloaded or read online in its entirety. There is a chapter on Koshkonong Prairie (pgs 142-157), and other communities like Ephraim and Door County with large Norwegian immigrant populations. It will require patience and a dictionary to read for non-native speakers as it is written in old script. (if this book was previously cited, sorry for the repeat!)

There is an English translation of this book. I have it in my possession. I will have to look up who the publisher is and post it later.

Hi,

Sorry to interrupt. Here is the web site of the publisher of the English version:

www.astrimyastri.com

This publisher is also producing an English translation of Nordmaendene i Amerika.

Hilsen,
Jackie M.
