I am searching for songs made either on the voyage or after arriving in the USA by scandinavian emigrants. Could be Swedish, Norwegian or Danish songs.
I am a Danish folk singer and song writer and I am working on a new project about Scandinavian emigration songs.

Hello Flemming, I have 3 emigrant songs for you;
"Utvandrarvise", "Amerikavise" and "Torbjørn Fjellstul", all 3 from Hjartdal in Telemark county.
It´s written in Telemark dialect, hopefully it will be understandable, I do not know the tune.

Enter chapter 10 here

The 3. song about Torbjørn Fjellstul "Guroson" the strongest man in Hjartdal, he found himself not in order on the flat plains and said "It´s not easy to plant a big mountain pine on the Prairie"
