My cousins and I have reached a dead end with Marie or Mary huser. We have her as born in 1865 in Gran Hadeland. I have a 1910 census with her arrival in the US at 1884. We know that she died in Fairview South Dakota 1938 at the age of 73.
She married Lage (Leonard) Loken 1890.
The possible names she would have used in Norway would have been Marie Huser, Or Marie Larsdetter. We have parents listed for her as Lars Huser and Kari Lunne. We are trying to figure out how she got here and if her parents names are indeed that and if they had parents.

The Digitalarkivet database "Utflytta frċ Gran 1825-1900 og Jevnaker 1837-1901" lists a Mari Larsdtr,1863 birth year, left Gran ca. 22 Jul 1884. No farm of residence is listed. I'd noticed the given name before with the similarity of desired birth year range and year of leaving but no patronymic had been hinted at and therefore discounted it.
The database appears to list her as married - but we know mistakes can happen in original records and in extracting original information into electronic form.

This is interesting because we have Lynner down here in the paperwork as a possible name. Do you think Lynner and Lunne are one in the same? as handwriting to typewriting

It sounds like the post from eibache is correct because we had Lunne and Lynner down for names of Marie's mother. Any idea of how she would have left? we have her listed in the US Census as 1884 arrival and 1885 arrival probably to match that of her husband's when the census people came around. I am thinking she left 1884.

There has been some overlap in the searching here.
Mari Larsdatter, Huser is the same as Marie Huser posted by Kċre as leaving Norway October 1883.
Searches in parish records for departing Gran would confirm this, but the handwriting is in this case not the easiest one.

I have the fathers listed now for Lars Andersen as Anders Larson 1788-1865 any idea who he married?

you mentioned that Anne Kari Johnstadder 's dad was John Pedersen. Any idea when he was born or who he married?

Lars Andersen was born Oct 1 1824, see #95, his parents were Anders Larsen and Siri Eriksdatter, Huuser.

Lars Andersen and his family in 1865, and his parents and a brother in 1865.

- Anne Johnsdatters father was John Pedersen. I have not found Anne bapt. record which could aid in the search.

Annes confirmation record is #8. She was born (possibly baptized) Nov 21 1827 and her parents were John Pedersen and Anne Hansdatter.

Joen (John) Pedersen, his parents and siblings in 1801.
