We are planning a trip to Oslo in June/July and would like to have more information about the family related to Halvor Evensen Rusten (Rustad) Thanks to anyone who can help us.

Hi Tiny,

A bit more biographical detail on your Halvor would be helpful. There are Rusten / Rustand farms in a lot of different places in Norway.

What is Halvor's birthdate, when/ where did he die? etc.

Halvor Evenson Rustad was born July 9, 1862 in Solar and died July 26, 1931. Married Anne Olsen October 3, 1887, she was the daughter of Johanes Olsen and Ronnog Peder. She was born May 17, 1862 in Gausdol, Norway and dided May 30, 1944.

Halvor Evensens mother, Marthea Olsdatter, was confirmated Oct 6 1839, see #1. Her parents were Ole Eriksen and Eline Halvorsdatter, Rusten.
The baptismal record for Marthea Olsdatter is most likely #58, born April 2 1825, parents Ole Eriksen and Helene (Eline) Halvorsdatter, Qvernmoen.

I have in my information that they married Oct. 2, 1887. Can someone possibly tell me what parish they were married at and if it was Oct. 2 or Oct. 3, 1887? -Dusty
