Serena was my gr. grandmother's sister. Serena traveled to China doing missionary work. in 1985 about 90 yr.old. she received the St. Olav medal in 1980. she dedicated herself to her work. i do not know if i ever met her as a young child but i would love any info on her life. and if at all possible , where is she buried?

You already know that she was from Forsand, Rogaland.

1900 Norwegian census for the family on the Løland farm there -

Her parents are still on the Løland farm in the 1910 Norwegian census -

Serina herself is in Klepp district in1910 -

If you know family still living on the farm perhaps you should contact them or the nearest genealogy/historical society to that residence.

She is mentioned on page 825, volume II, Norsk Misjonsleksikon.
I made a copy to my Picasa pictures: link

If you Google her, use (copy) spelling Serene Løland or Serena Løland.
She is buried in Kvinesdal: Gravminner i Norge
