My grandfather John Christian Winther emigrated from Copenhagen to the US in 1899. He ended up in Racine Wisconsin. Married Emma Lauritzen in Racine, Wisconsin. Moved to Shawano, Wisconsin for the remainder of his life. I'm trying to find out any information about John prior to landing in the US. Ship list, parents names, baptisem, brothers,sisters.

You have not stated any birth date, but assuming it could be April 3 1874, Peter Winther and his wife Johanne Caroline Amalie Petersen baptized their son Johannes Christian May 31 in the church at Frederiksberg, København. (Record #270 in 1874)
The parents were living at Ladegaardsveien 25 at that time.

John Winther was born 19 June 1879. We have always had that date for his bithday. Johannes Christian as you stated seems very interesting. Maybe I can find him on a shipping list.
