1865 census shows Bernt Larson in Leer, parish Tranbye, Farm Bosaetren (sorry about not using special character). His wife is Johanne Trulsdatter, children, Berthe, Tonger, Oline, Truls.

I have found Tonger's baptism record, which I believe he was born Feb 11, 1854 and Baptized Mar 26 at the Sylling Parish. I am having trouble reading the godparents names and farm names. It looks as if there is possibly 4 family members of Johanne's listed as godparents.

I hope I attached the right record.

Still working on finding the other children's date of birth as well as the parents of Brent and Joanne.

Thank you
Leta

The mothers name seem to be wrong, Thronsdatter in stead of Trulsdatter.
Godparents: Markus Trulsen, Hørthe, Thron Knudsen, Guransrud, Mari Trulsdatter, Brurberg, Tolline Trulsdatter, Væberg and Marthe Trulsdatter.

Their first child Berthe was born Dec 22 1849, see #6.
Oline born Sept 22 1856, see #154.
Truls born June 31 1861, see #114.

Bernt Larsen, Asdøl (1822) and Johanne Trulsdatter, Drag (1823) were married Nov 18 1849, see #48.

So do you think the record is correct for Tonger? In the census he would have been 13, which place is birth about 1855 instead of 1854. Maybe there is another record that I just missed.

Thank you again

The confirmation record for Johanne Trulsdatter, Drag is #20, her parents were Truls Torstensen and Oline Toresdatter.

Johannes expected brother (listed godparent) Marcus Trulsen was born Sept 10 1822, parents Truls Torstensen and OlineThoresdatter, Brevig-eie. (correspons with Johannes parents).

The baptismal record for Johanne is #52, she was born Aug 6 1824 at Brevig-Eie.

Age recorded in the 1865 census should be the expected age at the birthday in 1866, for Torger 13 is recorded, expected birth year would be 1853. Since the baptismal record says born Feb 11 1854 that is as close as one may expect, I believe you have the right record, just change the mothers name to Johanne Trulsdatter (not Thronsdatter which can be found among the godparents)
