Thanks Einar and Jackie. I guess I had never come across the name Goulou before and could not even guess how it was spelled. And thanks for going back one more generation with the parents data.

Might this then be Peter as a lodger in the 1801 Census. About half way down.

And then this is his birth record I hope. I am having some difficulty with the date as it is smeared a littlle and I see a Peter on the far left but also looks like a Evind. Maybe I am reading a Peter in the record when it is not there. The parents are Børuf Olson and Margitte Petersdatter so the naming seems to work. Second entry on the left page.

Looking more closely I think Evind is the name of one of the witnesses.

Would there have been an earlier Guro from the same parents. See the Guro born in 1781 with parents Guolou Aadnesen and Gunild Targiesdatter left page in the middle.

I like that comparison
Used Car Dealer or Horse Trader, that is exactly the same profession.

- yes Peters parents were Børu Olsen and Margitte Petersdatter, Wraalstad.
The baptismal date given is "Dom: 14 p Trinit" = Sept 20 1767. (The smeared date is the introduction of the mother into church after the birth).
Evind Østenaa is one of the godfathers.

Question is: Did the first Guro die as infant, - or, did two sisters Guro Gulougsdatter grew up, the youngest (17) servant maid on Tveit, Lille Topdal, in 1801 census
