I am searching for the dates of death for my great-grandfather, Hans Hansen Hjelseth( born 22.12.1841, in Molde), and great grandmother Ellemine Kristine Hjelseth (born 11.9.1860, Sogne). Last known residence, for both,1910 "Folketelling for Arendal". Can you help?

Thank you.

They resided near Langsæ pond outside Arendal, and belonged to Barbu church.
Their daughter Hedvig Agathe was christened there.

Unless they later moved, they should also be buried at Barbu church.
If so, you should be able to locate their death records here.
Barbu / Barbu: 1910-1929, Parish register (official)
Death and burial records
You'll have to scan through the pages manually, and see if you can recognize any names...
(Or you can sit and wait and hope that someone else scan through them for you...)

Hi,

Two other suggestions are to search at Gravminner i Norge website --it's similar to find-a-grave with transcriptions and pictures of headstones--and to search Norway Deaths database at www.familysearch.org.

Good Luck

Just referring to your earlier topic where you said "I am very puzzled by the additional surname, Hjelseth, which shows on the 1910 "Folketelling"!!"

In the confirmation record in 1856 you will find he was born at Hjelsæt , see Nr 15.
(Baptismal record not found.)

Also emigration records for the sisters would be fine to have as reference.
