Søren Walstad was Søren Olsen. He came from the farm Solstad when he bought Walstad in 1721.

The info comes from a local encyclopedia saying:
"Gården (Walstad) hørte til Hovedøya kloster i middelalderen. I 1647 var Kongen (staten) eier med Anders og Gunder som brukere. I 1714 kom gården i bondeeie, og i 1721 kjøpte Søren Olsøn fra Solstad gården. Til 1850-årene var det samme slekt som eide Hvalstad og Solstad."
Søren Walstad had two daughters Ollene (b 1729) and Christenze (b 1730).

the record above is for a daughter born 1748 - Siri - does this seem to fit with the encyclopedia information?

Søren Walstad had a daughter, Dorthe, Sept 15 1735, see 7th record left page. He was then married to Siri Larsdatter (right column on left page).

When Siri was born Febr 28 1748 Søren was married to Kari Hansdatter, she would then have been his second wife.

Søren Walstads kone Siri 48 years old died Febr 10 1738, see 12th record left page.

Søren Olsen, Walstad and Karen Hansdatter were married Nov 24 1746, see 10th record on left page. (q.e.d.)
