Knud was born on Biørum April 21, baptized in Tandum church April 25, father was Knud Andersen, Biørum, witnesses: Inger Andersdatter, Biørum, Haagine Karlsdatter, Biørum, Christen Halstensen, Biørum, Anders Larsen, Biørum and Jan Andersen, Biørum.

Andrine was baptized at Asker church May 2 and had been baptized at home April 18, father Knud Andersen, Schaum-eje, witnesses: Inger Larsdatter, Schauum, Birte Andersdatter, Solstad, Søren Madsen, Walstad, Petter Larsen, Elnæs and Peder Erichsen, Schauum.

Mother for both given as Sørine Simensdatter. This must be wrong. Knud Andersen at Biørum in Tanum was married to Birte Hendriksdatter. See 1801.
Knud Andersen in Asker was married to Sørine Simensdatter, see 1801.

Hi

Here is how I understand it:
Knud - (baptized) April 25.(born) April 21 (father) Knud Andersen Biørum. (mother) Sørine Simensd. (Witnesess) Inger Andersd Biørum, Haagine Karlsd ibid, Xsten Halstensen ibid, Anders Larsen ibid, Jan Andersen ibid.
Andrine - (baptized) May 2 (born) April 19. (father) Knud Andersen, hjemmedøpt (= baptized at home) Schauum (mother) Sørine Simensd. (Witnesess) Inger Larsd Schauum, Birte Andersd Solstad, Søren Madsen Walstad, Petter Larsen Elnæs, Peder Erichs. Schauum.

Here both Knud and Andrine have Knud Andersen and Sørine Simensdatter as parents. Both mothers are introduced May 23. and I think the one who wrote this made a mistake.
If you look at the 1801 census and the farm Biørum you find a Knud Andersen with wife Birte Hendriksd. I think she is the mother of Knud.

When you look at the farm Schauum there is a Knud Andersen with wife Sørine Simensdatter:

Hi Einar

You posted while I wrote
It is good to read that we both agree about the mistaken mother for Knud.

thanks for the input on this. I wanted some experienced eyes looking at this as it seemed like a mistake to me.
Here is a followup to the story - Knud at Biorum already had a 3 year old son named Knud at the 1801 census - possibly died between census and 1802? Update - I looked and 3 yr old Knud did die in July 1801
Also, Knud at Schaum had a dau Birthe - my 3GGM - who would have been 14 at the 1801 census -

any thoughts on why she wouldn't have been recorded? She had an older sister Johanne who at only 16 was a servant at a different farm
