I am trying to figure out if my ggggrandmother was born in Norway or Sweden. I know she was born 12 Aug 1844.

She later married Torgeir Halvorsen Andershaug Volden and their daughter Hanna Louise Torgeirsdatter Andershaug Volden was born 23 Sep 1883 in Meråker, Nord-Trøndelag, Norway.

I found a family tree online suggesting she was born in Sweden, but I am trying to find out if this is true or not.

I don't know where to start looking..

The father of Marit is Erik Halvardsen and she is born 1844 in Stjørdal.
I found a Marit with father Erik Halvardsen born in Stjørdal on Aug 13, 1844.

When Marit is confirmated Oct 1859 her birthdate is Aug 12, 1844.
