Journalists from Bergens Tidende, Norway will try to find a farm near Belt, Montana, owned by Kristian Janson in 1907. We suggest he was a Norwegian. Norwegian immigrants from Kvinnherad (Ølve, Hatlestrand,mm.) worked there for a while.
The farm was situated 3,5 miles from Great Falls and 4 miles from Belt.

Here are Jansens who took US Federal homestead in Montana:

Don't see Kristian or Christian but lots of other first names.
