I have been updating my records and have found differing entries on slekt.net and hemneslekt.net. Could anyone help me sort this out.
One entry states
Ellen Gram - married to Niels Rosing Parelius children - Rasmus Parelius b. 1842 - Jakob Schaweland Gram Parelius - Maren Anna Chatarina Parelius Father - Jacob Schavland Gram Mother - Ingeborg Henrikka Tokset
The other entry states
Ellen Gram - married to Niels Rosing Parelius children - Johanne Elisabeth Gram Parelius - Jacob Scharland Gram Parelius (name different) - Maren Anna Gram Parelius - Maren Anna Cathrine Gram Parelius Father - Marcus Schavland Gram (name different) Mother - Ingebord Henriccha (different spelling)
As Johanne Elisabeth from second entry was born in the same year as Rasmus Parelius from first entry it seems one of them must be incorrect or one of the dates of birth is maybe incorrect.
Why are all the children not mentioned in both lists
Thank you

Census-1865 shows two children: Jakob Schaweland Gram Parelius, born 1844 in Christiansund Maren Anna Chatarina Parelius, born 1846 in Christiansund
There is another Parelius family in Christiansund in the same Census-1865. They also have a daughter named Maren Anna. They also have a son named Rasmus born 1847. (Also a son named Niels Rosing Parelius...)

Niels Rosing Parelius and Ellen Gram were married Jan 20 1840, see #5.
Johanna Elisabeth Parelius born May 1 1842 is the daughter of Morten Lossius Parelius and Anna Magdelene, see 8th record from bottom.
From the marriage record, Rasmus Parelius is said to be born Jan 23 1849, see 2nd record left page.

Thank you all so much. It has been a great help to me. I am thrilled with the photos - how nice it would be to have photos of all people in a tree.

Having images of people born over 200 years ago are not very common. The reason there are paintings of Jacob Marcus Schavland Gram, is that he was a big guy in those days. He was the English Consul in Trondheim, and the Chief Executive Officer of The Central Bank of Norway, Norges Bank. He was also a merchant, and a member of the Norwegian Parlament. He ran a shipping company, a lumber yard and own a lot of landed property.
Despite being listed, the Gram House in Trondheim were Jacob Marcus Schavland Gram lived, was demolished in 1951. Many parts of the original house was conserved, and the house has been recreated as they believe it looked in the mid 1700's, including furniture and household goods. Microscopic traces of paint have been examined to color the building. Today it houses the Sverresborg Museum.

That's very interesting reading. Thank you very much. I know that photos from long ago are hard to come by, I have about 20 photos of my family from the 1800's but none of them have dates or names on the back. It's so frustrating to have them and not know who they are. One day I'll get to Norway and hopefully find some family to help me with them.
Best regards
Carol
