I now have the 4 volumes of the Bø - Soga (Telemark) and will offer to do lookups in week 28 - 2002, on the condition that you provide sufficient data, and that you know that the people you are looking for actually were from the area. The books does not have a register of persons, so it will be quite time consuming finding people in the books if you do not provide the right information.

Census year: 1865

Municipality: Bø

Municipality number: 0821

Name of domicile: Aarmodte

Number of persons in this domicile: 10.

The family immigrated to American in 1874 and settled in Minnesota. One of the daughters, Aslaug (not reported with the family because she was a servant girl with another family at the time), is a direct ancestor, my great great grandmother on my father's mother's side of the family.

Børge - Will this lookup include Tinn? If so, I could use info on the Einung family. They emigrated in ELLIDA in 1842. I have this info from the Utvandrarregister for Tinn 1837-1907:
Utvidsp Førenamn Patronym Etternamn Imigrant Alder Klasse
No.
010142 Jacob Olsen Einung 0292a 43 gardm
010142 Anne Jacobsdtr Einung 0293b 44 gmk
010142 Susanne jaconsdtr Einung 0284c 21 gmd
010142 Anne Jacobsdtr Einung 0295d 21 gmd
010142 Aslaug do Einung 0296e 17 gmd
010142 Ole Jacobsen Einung 0297f 14 gms
010142 Jon do Einung 0298g 11 gms
010142 Gunhild Jacobsdtr Einung 0299h 9 gmd
010142 Gro do Einung 0300i 6 gmd
010142 Østen Jacobsen Eining 0301j 2 gms

I have also the following: Jacob Olsen Einung 1799 Gardm. Gardm. Ole Høljesen Einung. gift 10.6.1820 med Anne Johnsdtr Såheim 1798 Gardm. John Gunnulfsen Såheim. Have childrens' birth dates if relevant. Østen also spelled Øystein.

This is not critical, but if you come upon it ---. Hilsen Jim
