My great grandmother sailed on the Ionian April 1907 to Montreal, Canada. How do I find out the sailing route of the Ionian for that voyage and if there was more than one stop is there a way to determine where the passenger boarded? I understand that the Ionian stopped at Moville, Ireland. Who got on at Liverpool and who got on at Moville, Ireland? Many thanks for any help that can be offered. Katie Denis |

Here is an immigration record for a person travelling on the Ionian in April of 1907. If this is the correct date it shows a little more information on the ships journey.
Canadian Passenger Lists, 1865-1935 Name: Emily Abbott Gender: Female Age: 27 Estimated Birth Year: abt 1880 Date of Arrival: 28 Apr 1907 Vessel: Ionian Search Ship Database: Port of Arrival: Montreal, Quebec Port of Departure: Liverpool, England via Moville, Ireland Roll: T-502 |

Thank you all for your replies. Yes, the Ionian resumed the Liverpool-Montreal-Quebec service and the departure date was April 26th, 1907. I do have the passenger list but I do not know where she boarded as I have a document that states it was Liverpool via Moville, Ireland. Was this stop before Liverpool or after and how does one know which place the passengers boarded. This information would help my ancestry search significantly. |
