I'm looking at some 1890s death and burial records from Voss. I can figure out the meanings of most of the column headings, bu this one has me stumped. It is column 8 and what is entered in the column for most indiviuals I recognze as farm names. Column 7 gives (in her case) Nygryten, which is where she was born, and col. 8 has "Kvale", which I recognize as another farm in Voss. The only thing I can deduce is that possibly she was at Kvale when she died, but I can't find a translation of the column heading.

Thanks,

Nick

You are misreading it. The column heading is
Bopæl = Bopel = residence

The entire article is very helpful with Norwegian church records -
