...was born on May 11, 1909, in Valdres. Her parents were Andres Nilsson Tørstad and Ingebjørg Olsdaughter. Marit's confirmation took place in Vang in Valdres on June 22, 1924. She is one of our many immigrants, and she is said to have left for Chicago and married a Clyde E. Kimbel. I have not been able to find her date of emigration or when she married Mr. Kimbel, so I would appreciate help in finding them. She is also said to have been a nurse.

What about this one?
Marit T Schaeffer
Born 11 May 1909
Died 30 Nov 1992
SSN 346-26-5115
Illinois

The T could be short for Tørstad.

Yeah, that might be her. And, of course, the T could be short for Tørstad. And the date of birth is correct, but what about her name Schaeffer? Is it possible to find her marriage to Clyde E. Kimbel?
