Can anyone tell me if #11 at the bottom of the right hand page is the birth and baptism of Karen Gurine Knudsen? Her parents are Ole Knudsen and Gurine Tollevsdr(Tollevsdatter). The page is very faint and I can't quite see if I have the right person. I can see the dates but the names are hard too read.

Thanks for taking a look at this record.

Source information: Telemark county, Eidanger, Parish register (official) nr. 7 (1814-1831), Birth and baptism records 1824, page 37.

Its Karen Gurine born May 22 1824. Parents Ole Knudsen and Gurine Tollevsdatter.
Karen Gurine Olsdsdatter would be her full name.

Thank you very much for your reply. I should have realized that her last name would have been Oldsdatter.

Her parents Ole Knudsen, Grønlia (23) and Gurine Tollevsdatter, Ørestvedt (24) were married Nov 21 1823, #11.

Ole and his parents in 1801.

Gurine, her parents and siblings in 1801.

What does Grønlia and Ørestvedt stand for? Are these the farms they lived at?

Yes. Farm names. You can look at it as their address.
Location of Ørstveit (modern spelling). Grønlia was 3 miles further north, towards the city Porsgrunn. Grønlia farm is gone, and is today a residential area.

That is so interesting. I found Ørstveit or at least what I think is Ørstveit. Modern technology is so amazing. Thank you so much.

Try this translater

f is an abbr. for født - born

Grønlia mean the green hillside.
Ørestveit ???
