I think i have found a ancestor of mine working on the Runic as the master of the ship his initials are giving as J B Bulman the date giving on ancestry is 18 dec 1926(Liverpool- Sydney) but how do i prove that it is my relation is there any books etc that give the full name? Also did they not do photos of the master in those days?

The other ship he was the master of was the Persic again giving on ancestry the date is 2 jun 1922 (Liverpool - Cape Town)

His name was John B. Bulman, born ca. 1871.

As Borge says, born about 1871. Joined the White Star Line in 1899. Captain in 1921.

John B. Bulman was born June 20, 1871 at Carlisle. He lived at Douglas in 1919 when he was 1st officer on the S/S Olympic
