I know my grandfather was born in November 28 1878 and probably in Oslo area. Unfortunately thats all I know. Is there any where I could E-mail or write or look on line for birth records for that area of Norway. My grandmothers family came from around Sogne Og Fjordane and a lot of the church records are in the Digital archives of Norway. Oslo does not seem to be like that. They don't even seem to have to have any system of bygderbokers. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
I am also intersted in tracing Norwegian family members forward. I am just curious to listen to there perspective on the immigration issue. My greatgrandfather and greatgrandmother on my grandmothers side left mothers, fathers, brothers and sisters back in Norway and as far as I can tell made no further contact with them. My grandfather had a sister or brother who sent christmas packages to my fathers family and as far as I can tell has had no contact with them in 60 years. Is there interest or has all interest died
