Jacob Iversen, Teslien and Ingebor Olsdatter had another son Ole who was baptized March 23 1806.

I believe they were married between 1801 and 1803, Ingebor was at Teslien in 1801 and Jacob was at Munchvold in 1801.

Does an Hans Hansen show up in the godparents of any of Margrette's children?

Do either of these women, their husbands or any of their adult children appear in the fadernes of Margrette's children's baptisms? Does Margrette appear in the fadernes of any of their children?

Even though it's not a valid comparison, at least on the numbers, you are twice as likely to have a "Knud" patronymic and have been born in Kvikne living in Strinden as having a "Hans" patronymic and have been born in Kvikne living in Strinden!

Ah, I see - that was not part of the birth record. These "chronological" parish records are a little different and harder to figure things out when everything is mixed together instead of separate like most records I've looked at.

I believe I found the marriage here. It is number 8 on bottom right of page. It is 1 (hard to tell the day) July 1803 .

Is this record telling me that on April 13, 1807 at the age of 28 that
1) Jacob Iversen Teslien was buried and was survived by Ingeborg Olsdatter
or
2) that Jacob Iversen Teslien's wife Ingeborg Olsdatter was buried

I can't tell how the record reads.
#2 is what I was expecting to find and would make sense with what else I know. #1 would really throw me for a loop.

No 16 left side page
http://www.arkivverket.no/URN:kb_read?idx_kildeid=16286&idx_id=16286&uid=ny&idx_side=-157

POST EDIT
I just found the second marriage (again what I expected) of the widower Jacob Iversen Teslie so I doubly hope that #2 is correct!

Thanks,
Michael

Can anyone tell me what the occupation Løssjouer means?
From Oluf Teslie's occupation in the 1875 census.

Thanks,
Michael

- it reads:
Kastet Jord paa Jacob Iversen Tesliens Kone Ingeborg Olsdatter 28 Aar = threw earth on Jacob Iversen Tesliens wife Ingeborg Olsdatter 28 years.

Løssjouer (=løssjauer) is a stevedor taking on jobs when they are offered.
