Ancestry message board discussion of Hans and Sorine here, maybe the person asking the question could be related to you?:
http://boards.ancestry.com/thread.aspx?mv=flat&m=1856&p=localities.northam.usa.states.minnesota.counties.ottertail

In that discussion, a volunteer researcher offers to hand search the Otter Tail archives; She did so for another Norway Heritage Forum thread and found a lot of information not online.

Baptisms of Ingeborg and some siblings, as indexed on Family Search:

Birthe Mathea Fransen, baptized 28 April 1839 Hurum, Buskerud

Maren Fransen, baptized 21 March 1841 Hurum, Buskerud

Elisabeth Fransen, baptized 02 April 1843 Hurum, Buskerud

Ingborg Fransen, baptized 22 June 1845 in Hurum, Buskerud

Compiled this timeline while thinking about Borre. Just a summary.

TIMELINE
14 February 1869 Carl Hansen and Ingeborg Frantzdatter marry in Hurum, Buskerud, Norway

09 April 1869 Cal and Ingeborg Hansen register to emigrate from Oslo, traveling with a group from home with
destination Red Wing, Minnesota

09 June 1872 - Alma Helene Hanson said to have been born in Otter Tail County, Minnesota (Find-a-Grave)

1880 US census
Norwegian Grove, Otter Tail, Minnesota
Charly Hanson 36 born about 1844 in Norway, farmer
Ingeborg Hanson 35 born about 1845 in Norway
Helene Hanson 7 born in Minnesota about 1873
Henriette Hanson 5
Henry Hanson 3
Alfred Hanson 10 months

[Hans and Sorina Huseby also in Norwegian Grove in 1880]

1885 MN state census
Otter Tail County, Minnesota
Karl Hanson 42 born in Norway
Ingeborg Hanson 40 Norway
Helene Hanson 11 Minnesota
Hendriette Hanson 10y Minnesota
Henry Hanson 7 Minnesota
Alfred Hanson 5 Minnesota
Julius Hanson 2 Minnesota
Klara Hanson 9 months old born in Minnesota
Jacob Peterson 24 Norway
Gunder Peterson 21 Norway

Oct 1887 Carl and Alma Helene (about age 13) and two sons (probably Henry and Alfred) travel by wagon to North Dakota (presumably seeking homestead land.)
Spring 1888 Ingeborg follows on the train with Hendriette, Julius, Klara, + one more.
SOURCE: bio of Borre Johansen published in the previously mentioned book: "Nearby [to Borre and Alma Helene] was the homestead of Carl and Ingeborg Hanson. Carl, two sons and one daughter, Alma, had come from Ottertail County, Minnesota, in October, 1887. They had come with a covered wagon and a small herd of cattle. In the spring of ’88 Mrs. Hanson and the four younger children came by train."

16 Dec 1889 wedding at Ox Creek Lutheran Church, Rolette county township 159, Rolette county, North Dakota. Bore Johnson, age 30 married Helena Hanson (or named as Alma Helena Hanson?) age 16.

Their first-born children were Clara, Johnnie and Bennie, per brejohns post. Alma Helena had a sister Clara; Borre could be presumed to have a father Johan (John). There is a Benjamin Johnson buried same small cemetery as Borre and Alma Helena.

Died 27 Jan 1914 in Rollette county, per North Dakota Death Record. Bore Johnson, born 27 July 1860 in Norway, age 53 years 6 months 3 days. Married 28 years. No parents listed by informant (Borre's son John),

Unknown date - erection of monument. Rendahl Cemetery. Monument inscribed: per Find-a-Grave, Borre Johansen, born 10 June 1860, died 27 Jan 1914.

**Is Find-a-Grave transcription accurate? Difference in name and date of birth is curious; most often these would match death record. Date of death provides unmistakable id. Perhaps the monument was erected at a later time, not at time of death? Who erected the headstone for Borre - and why is the name and date of birth different than the death record? Possibly the sponsor of the monument is "correcting the facts" by restoring Borre's name to the original Norwegian name. If so, perhaps this date of birth was known to that person? Yet brejohns family history has Borre born 10 JULY, not 10 June. Perhaps the Find-a-Grave creator erred.

Kari Andersdatter 48 b Loms Præstegjeld, hans Kone (his wife) g (g=gift, =married)
Karoline Justdatter 19 b Eids Præstegjeld, deres Datter, ug (unmarried), hjælper Moderen (occupation, mother's helper)

Who were the witnesses? BTW brejohns - it's impressive, all the data you've collected and brought to the forum!

Fantastic that the Ox Creek Lutheran Church person did help with this. Sometimes churches don't respond. You probably have more information now than you did when you wrote to them (from your own research and with assistance from collaborators in this thread)? Would it be worth while writing again to Ox Creek Lutheran to ask about them, or reexamining the pages sent to you with the new info in mind?

It can be very hard to spot relatives, given that women took their husband's names and men and women both adopted surnames in America that could be either a patronymic, or a place name, or an Americanized (changed) version of either.

Let's hold off, for the moment, deciding someone is not in the family unless the forum has thoroughly checked him/her out.

Jackie did post that Børre as a candidate (page 3 of this thread: Børre Johanson #1, b 21 Nov 1858, Source information: Hedmark county, Furnes in Vang)
but I don't think he had been followed up as you are doing.

As far as known at the moment, the brother Just Justsen migrated in 1884 heading to Wisconsin. The sister Ane is on Siem in 1886 as taxpayer of record and in one or the other of the 1900 / 1910 Norwegian census, single woman. I searched the Møre og Romsdal migration stations Aalesund and Christians (und or and I always confuse them but whichever was in Møre og Romsdal) lists and that is how I found Just Justsen but didn't appear to find any of the other sisters.

What about the Benjamin Johnson in the cemetery, what's the information on him?

Thanks. So it's likely all the sisters stayed in Norway. Were you all satisfied Gust Johnson identity was solidly established? (I did reread thread but I will again to get a fix on what you said)

About Ben:
Found on Find a Grave, buried Rendahl Cemetery in Dunseith, Rolette County, North Dakota, USA - where Borre Johansen is buried:
Benjamin Johnson, born unknown, died 1918
Also here is Ragnild Johnson b 11 Dec 1854 d 06 Apr 1912.
