Here is a obit for Clara Christoperson, wife of Eric in the 1940 Census. Her parents were, Lars Gunderson and Ellen Marie Medhaug.I think the Eric from an earlier post had a aunt with the same name. Married Eric in 1933, so if this is the right Eric, Martha must have been dead by then or divorced.

A possible match in 1930 Census. Arrival date matches and he is in South Dakota. Brown and Marshall abut one another. Also Clara was working in Aberdeen also in Brown County according to the Obit. She was born and raised in Day County.

Ellen Marie was born June 24.1860 on Medhaug farm nr 3.
Parents; Erik Didriksen and Ellen Karine Kristofersdatter.
She died June 21. 1848.

Lars Gundersen born August 17. 1858 in Skudesneshavn on Karmĝy, bap. in Falnes church Sept. 5. 1858.
Parents; Strandsidder Gunder Mortensen and Lovise Larsdatter.
Lars is also known as Lars Gundersen Aadland (Aadland in Ċkra) and died in S. Dakota 1928, link

Kċre, did you mean she died in 1848? You have her born in 1860? I am confused.

Here you write about my great grandparents :)
I have for a long time tried to get in touch with Erik's children / family in the United States but can not find any.
My grandmother is the daughter of Erik and Martha.
If anyone knows this family,I'd been very happy for any answer :)

Thank you to everyone for all your help,the descendants of Erick Christofferson Medhaug is coming to Norway tomorrrow,almost 100 years since Erick went to America,this is thanks to your freat finds,thank you again.
