Hi, I am searching for a Julia Annetta Steen who came from Norway to New Zealand abt 1873 with her family. She was born abt 1856.
This is all I know. I've done a lot of research on other members of the Larsen family but have found this surname STEEN rather hard to work out. I realise it could have been altered in some way and her forenames of Julia Annetta (to me seems to have been anglicised), but if anyone can find anyone who may look like her then please let me know.
All help is gratefully accepted.

Could she be Anette Juliane Steen from Fredrikstad? She is born about 1852. 14 years old in census-1865. Listed as pauper.

A girl named Annette Sten (21) from Fredrikstad arrived New Zealand on the ship Hĝvding in 1873.

Anette Juliane Adamsen Steen is born 23 Mar 1853.

Here is an Adam Reutz Steen in the 1801 Norwegian Census, however he is already 53 years old at that time.

That explain why Anette Juliane was reg. as "Fattiglĉm" Poor pauper on farm Roppestad in the 1865 census.

Anettes mother was maid Andrine Toresen.

The only Andrine Thoresen in the 1865 census I was able to find that could be her mother lived in Glemminge sub parish at Fredrikstad with a son Johan E. Larsen age 3 and married to sawmillworker Lars Svendsen link
