#35 Ole, born 15 JUN 1859. Parents: Anders Gundersen & Berit Olsdr Ole is born on Onstadeie, but the family later lived on Nordaker in Aurdal, Nord-Aurdal, Oppland.
Edit: Probably not the correct one. |

FamilySearch.org databases also indicate the existence of an Ole A Nordaker born about 1888-1889 who later lived in South Dakota. That one came from Vestre Slidre, Oppland which might indicate the parish known as Røn (not Ron).
The poster will have to clarify which person he is actually seeking. With no additional information it seems pointless to waste the time. |

Yes. The above info I provided was for Ole Andersen Nordaker, born on 15 Jun 1859, married to Anna Swenson and had 6 children. He passed away on 6 Oct 1919 in Soldier, Monona, Iowa.
The below is a picture of Ole Andersen Nordaker (1888-1944), who was married to Roxie MaNina Horsley, and lived in Kellogg Township, Beadle, South Dakota. United States World War I Draft Registration Cards shows that he is born 01 JUN 1888. Christening record #7 shows he is born in Røn in Vestre Slidre, Oppland, by parents Anders Knutsen Vidste & Ingrid Olsdatter. Ole with parents and two brothers at Nordaaker farm in Census-1900. Confirmation record #2, 07 JUN 1903. Born on Viste-Ødegaard. Residence: Viste-Ødegaard. Emigration record #8, 1906. Ole Andersen Ødegaard. Emigration certificate issued 28 Mar 1906. Ole Andersen (17) from V. Slidre arrived Ellis Island on the Oceanic on 21 Apr 1906. Destination was Sturgeon Bay, Wis. He was travelling with Haldor Eivindsen Hodne (18), who was going to his uncle Gilbert Magestad.

Nordåker and Ødegård are neighboring farms in Røn, Vestre Slidre, Oppland.

Thank you to jwiborg. Hopkins was also on the right track. Your reply for Ole Andersen Nordaker (1988-1946) was correct and very informative. Ole was my grandfather, who I never met as I was born in 1946. In 1998, I visited the Nordaker farm in Ron and the picture of the farm was correct. I had not seen that picture of Ole, so appreciated that. I also did not know he came through Ellis Island. Everything was very informative. I will share this with my brother and 2 sisters. Thanks |

I'm happy you found the info useful. The picture provided of him was found in a Public Member Tree at http://ancestry.com I can't see who the owner is, but the Family Tree could be either "C-Horse Family" or the "Bradford Family Tree" The latter even had his parents listed as Anders Knudsen Viste & Ingrid Olsdatter. Another picture found of him at http://ancestry.com
